This Mango Apple Crisp is a fresh twist on a classic dessert—sweet, juicy mango pairs beautifully with tart, tender apples under a buttery oat crumble topping. It’s golden, crisp, and just the right balance of tropical and comforting, perfect for serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • Fruit Filling Base

  • 4 cups diced mango (ripe but not mushy)

  • 3 cups another fruit (choose: peaches, blueberries, apples, or plums)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch (or arrowroot starch)

  • 1 Tbsp lemon or lime juice

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

  • For The Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup all purpose flour (swap 1/2with almond flour if desired)

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cubed

  • 1/2 – 3/4 cup chopped nuts (see pairings)

  • 1-2 tsp spices (see pairings)

  • Pinch of salt

Directions
For the Filling

1. Toss fruits with sugar, starch, juice, vanilla, and salt.
2. Spread in greased 9×9 dish.
3. Add crisp topping.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Cool 10–15 minutes before serving.
